If you can´t live without your eye contour product, or if you´ve never used one before, you need to know how important it is to choose the right one and how to best apply it to maximise its benefits.
Next, we reveal the best technique to apply your eye contour cream daily and to enhance its results. The first thing to bear in mind is that you don´t need to apply a heavy amount of product, so take a very small amount; you can always add more…
Place this amount of cream in the area at the far end of the eye, almost on the temple. With your ring finger, which is the finger with the least strength, spread the product with a gentle and rapid dabbing motion towards the area under your eye. If you find it easier, you can also use your middle finger, always with very gentle movements. This will help the product to absorb into your skin, while stimulating the microcirculation of the area.
Once you reach the inner end of your eye, go back along the contour of the eye and return to where you started. Now, go up and dab the cream along the eyebrow arch, that is, the whole area underneath your eyebrow, and back again.
You can take a little more of your eye contour cream and apply it with the same movement in the space between your eyebrows and in the area of the nose closest to your eyes, avoiding the tear ducts. You can also work the upper area of the eyebrows, as this is an area that is prone to dryness.
Remember to avoid applying the product on your eyelid or too close to the eyelashes, as this could allow the cream to enter the eye and cause irritation.
If you have wrinkles between your eyebrows or crow’s feet at the end of your eye, you should very gently stretch the skin to smooth out the wrinkle with one hand, and apply the product with the other. This will help the product to absorb right into the groove of the wrinkle.
If you have bags, in addition to using an eye contour product to combat them, you can store the cream in the fridge. This way, when you apply it, you will benefit from a refreshing effect that will reduce the bags.
You can apply any excess cream on the contour of your lips, where the skin is also very thin, similar to the contour of the eye.
Once you have finished, you should ideally wait 5 to 7 minutes before applying concealer or foundation, to make sure that your eye contour cream has properly absorbed into the skin.
Take your time! Do this routine morning and night with perfectly clean skin and you will notice the results.
